CTP’S products
Discover the steps of the production of our electrical conductors, used in many sectors such as: electrical cables, transformer windings, metal components, motor windings, medical equipment.
- Drawing
- Annealing
- Taping
The drawing creates continuous wires or strips.
Our strips can satisfy all customer requests, starting from a minimum thickness of mm. 1.00 up to a maximum thickness of 7.00 mm, and starting from a minimum width of 3.00 mm up to a maximum width of 22.00 mm. The laser control system created in this phase of lamination guarantees centesimal precision.
After the rolling phase, the material undergoes the annealing process.
The annealing phase, necessary for the recrystallization of the semi-finished product, is carried out with a latest generation "CIEFFE" type furnace, compliant with European standards.
After annealing the material, when required, is ready to be taped.
The taping phase allows to insulate the copper or aluminum in different materials such as PAPER KRAFT, NOMEX, MYLAR, NASTROVETRO, MICAVETRO, KAPTON in different layers and many other insulators. Aware of the wide range of this sector, we are always available to satisfy the most varied requests from the customer.
WELDING WIRE PRODUCTION
In addition to electrical conductors, the C.T.P. produces welding wire in aluminum and its alloys (5356,5183,4043,5052, etc.).
This welding wire is first drawn on the rougher, which reduces its diameter until it reaches an almost finished diameter; subsequently, the material is annealed and, after annealing, the wire is brought to the finished diameter on a “shaving” machine, which “shaves” it allowing the obtainment of a clean and shiny wire.
After shaving, the yarn completes its transformation phase and is ready to be placed on plastic spools of various sizes (according to customer requests) on the “spira-spira” machine, or it is ready to make rods on the machines ” wanders”.
